Lyn said: “The best, quickest and safest way to take off gel polish is to go back to the nail technician who applied it and get them to remove it. Do not try to pick it off yourself.
“If you can’t get back to the technician, buff the first layer of the gel off with a nail file until your polish looks matte.
“Pour hot water into a bowl and pour acetone into a smaller bowl. Place the bowl of acetone into the bigger bowl of water, then soak your nails in acetone and cover the bowl with a towel.
