SO often over the past few years, when a famous person has died, we’ve had to brace ourselves for the skeletons tumbling out of their closet.
So, while we are all sad that George Michael has passed away, how comforting it is to learn how generous he was during his life.
Stories of him handing thousands of pounds to near strangers in need of help and of bankrolling charities are so refreshing to hear.
Even how he gave the royalties of his most popular songs to charity and his old bandmate Andrew Ridgeley makes us smile.
Rest in peace, George. You will be missed as a brilliant songwriter and performer and as a wonderful person. Ellen Ross
