KEV’S UP TO PAR
RAITH ROVERS boss Gary Locke insists he was right not to risk Kevin McHattie at Easter Road ahead of their New Year derby with Dunfermline.
Rovers clung on for a 1-1 draw at Hibs on Christmas Eve after the full-back was left out of the squad for the Championship clash with a tight hamstring.
But Locke believes it was the correct decision to rest McHattie and give him the best chance of featuring in Monday’s home clash with the Pars.
He said: “It was a blow but I’d rather he missed one game than five. We’ve got some big games coming up.”
