MARCUS AND I ARE DOING ALL WIGHT
DUNDEE hero Craig Wighton is confident his partnership with Marcus Haber can deliver a revenge attack on Partick Thistle at Firhill tonight.
The lowest point of the season for the teen striker was in October when a 2-0 home defeat to the Jags sent the Dark Blues to the foot of the Premiership.
And the 19-year-old, below, is looking for a win in Glasgow that could potentially push his team into the top six ahead of Saturday’s Tayside derby against St Johnstone.
Wighton said: “When we lost at home to Thistle a couple of months ago it was a real low point in every sense. “We were sent down to the bottom of the table and it wasn’t just about the result but more the way we lost the game. However, it proved to be a turning point in our season. “This has been a breakthrough season for me at Dundee and the first time since I made my debut three years ago that I’ve been a first pick in the team. “I feel I’m improving all the time and I’m really enjoying playing off Marcus as part of a front two.”
