BOB GETS THE AXE AFTER 11 GAMES
SWANSEA last night sacked manager Bob Bradley after just 85 days and 11 games in charge.
The first American to manage in the Premier League was appointed in early October but won only two games and the Swans are only above bottomplaced Hull on goal difference after the 4-1 defeat to West Ham on Monday.
Bradley, 58, took training yesterday morning but his departure was confirmed in a club statement.
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins said: “We are sorry to lose Bob after such a short period of time.
“Unfortunately things haven’t worked out as planned and we felt we had to make the change with half the Premier League season remaining.
“With the club going through such a tough time, we have to try to find the answers to get ourselves out of trouble.
“I have nothing but praise for Bob. He is a good man, a good person who gave everything to the job. We wish him well for the future.’’
Leading bookmaker Coral has installed Ryan Giggs as the 11-10 favourite to be Bradley’s replacement.
