support group for recovering addicts in Glasgow.

The auction will take place at Mulberry Bank Auctions in Glasgow on March 25 to mark the film’s US release.

Kirsty Harris, director of the auctioneers, said: “I like the idea that people have the chance to own a barstool, or a pint glass, or even an entire bar, all for a good cause.”

In T2 Trainspotting Renton, played by Ewan McGregor, returns to Leith to reconnect with the friends he betrayed at the end of the cult 1996 film.

Together they embark on another wild adventure through a criminal underworld of drugs, blackmail and prostitution.

The lots include the red sofa where a plan to convert Sick Boy’s pub into a brothel is hatched and the piano used when Renton and friends join in a loyalist singalong.

McGregor and Jonny Lee Miller’s wellies and the contents of Spud’s (Ewen Bremner’s) bedsit are also for sale.

Fans can also buy items from Renton’s old bedroom.

Bids will start from £50 to £200 for most items but offers for the bar and gantry from the Port Sunshine pub are invited on application. BE AFRAID – Begbie’s been cloned and he wants a word. It’s actually the son of comedian Joe Heenan dressed up for World Book Day as Robert Carlyle’s hardman. Although why he’s reading Trainspotting is anyone’s guess.
