WILL TRUMP BAN RUIN OUR HOLS?

-

Dear Cash Queens

I AM very worried about President Trump’s ban on Muslims travelling to America after reading about the teacher from Wales who was not allowed to fly to New York.

Myself and my husband, who are both Muslim, have saved hard to take our two children on a package holiday to Disney World Florida at Easter.

But we are anxious over what happens if one of us is refused entry even though we have UK passports.

We have spent just under £5000 on our dream trip – will we lose all our money if our worst fears are confirmed?

THERE are several steps you can take for your own peace of mind. Apply for your ESTA visas (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) now so if there is an issue, you have time to sort it out and apply for full visas. The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) tells us that if there is a problem at the US end, and one member of your party is turned away by Homeland Security, the tour operator is under no obligation to take responsibility – but the travel industry will try to help in such extreme circumstances.

And the Association of British Insurers (ABI) say it’s vital to check your travel insurance policy to check your cover.

We’ve spoken to insurers AXA who told us that, while there are no specific policies to cover Brits refused entry into America, an additional “travel disruption” option is available which will compensate you if one of you is barred.

It’s worth checking with your insurers whether or not this is available for you.

In the worst case scenario, if you are turned back, the airline you went out with will fly you back. But it won’t come to that. And we look forward to a postcard from you and the kids from Disney World.
