LIAM Gallagher has launched a stinging attack on Bono and U2.
The former Oasis frontman claimed the Irish pop star was “on another planet”.
And, bizarrely, he blasted U2 for not licking their own plates.
Gallagher said it was “highly f***ing insulting” that they describe themselves as a rock ’n’ roll band.
In a radio interview in America, the 44-year-old also ridiculed his brother Noel, who supported U2 on their latest tour.
Gallagher followed up the insults by taking a dig at Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, despite doing a duet with him at the One Love Manchester concert in June.
U2 are one of the most successful bands in the world and they have sold nearly 200million albums.
But Gallagher said they had failed to make their mark in the music business.
He labelled the group’s frontman “Bongo”.
And in a vicious rant about him and U2, he added: “He is on another planet that guy.
“I dunno what planet they are on, but they are not on mine. They are in a bubble.
“I am walking the streets and we are keeping it real. We walk and we lick our own plates.
“You know when you finish your food, I know them people get someone else to lick their plates for them. I lick my own f***ing plate.
“I find the likes of U2 when they call themselves a rock ’n’ roll band, I find that highly f***ing insulting.
“They play guitar music and they f***ing hit the drums and all that but they are not a rock ’n’ roll band.
“They are a band that use guitars. They haven’t ever done anything rock ’n’ roll in their entire life. (They are) corporate or whatever, you know what I mean?
“I am not saying you need to be snorting drugs off a dwarf ’s a***, but something needs to happen. They need to do something. Have they ever broken a pencil? Have they ever stuck a rubber up their nose?
“Something has got to go down. They don’t seem to do f*** all, except for take big pay cheques.” Speaking to Howard Stern in the US to promote his new album As You Were, Gallagher attacked Noel and his relationship with Bono.
He said: “It is nice to know while he is out licking Bono’s a***, I am sort of doing it for real. He would like to think I just vanished.”
Gallagher added he was “furious” at U2’s status in music, and unimpressed with his brother’s friendship with Bono.
Gallagher said he “loves” describing Noel as a potato on Twitter.
He said: “Every time I see pictures of him, I just see a potato – stalker potato when he has his arm around Bono.”
Gallagher also took a dig at Martin, saying it was the Coldplay frontman, rather than him, who was keen to duet at the Manchester benefit concert.
He said: “He was very eager. I was like, ‘Debbie (his girlfriend), don’t give him my number and don’t give him yours’.”
Gallagher described his long-running feud with Noel,

50, as a “little dodgy patch”. He added: “I love my brother. I love our kid but he is lost in the celebrity world.
“Every time I see him, he has got his arm around some crazy celebrity.
“It is like he is stalking them.”
