NO-BRAINER
Lenny snaps up new Hibs deal
NEIL LENNON admits signing a new long-term deal at Hibs is a “no-brainer” because he’s loving life at the Easter Road club. The former Celtic boss joined on a two-year contract last summer but is set to be rewarded with extended terms after leading the Leith side back to the Premiership in his first season in charge. Lennon was reluctant to discuss the length of the deal but admits he has no hesitation in committing himself to Hibs.
He said: “From a personal point of view it’s a no-brainer. I am very happy here, I am really enjoying what I am doing.
“I have a good group of players, I work with some very good people above me.
“They have made this job, which is never easy, easier.
“And the support I have had from the Hibs fans has been fantastic since day one.
“Sometimes it is all about job
satisfaction and I am very happy here. Life away from the club is good as well.
“I enjoy the structure here, the training ground is excellent. We have an excellent stadium so the facilities are excellent and that always helps. But in the main I have a very good group of players to work with.
“The board and chief executive Leeann Dempster and head of football operations George Craig are fantastic to work with as well.
“They have made the transition into the job for me a lot more comfortable.
“I am very proud to be the manager here, it’s a privilege. And it’s one I want to maintain for as long as I can.”
