THE fiancee of a young dad who was found dead 10 days after his baby daughter was born has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her “soulmate”.

The body of father-of-three Daniel O’Farrell, 21, was discovered in a house in Glenrothes, Fife, on Saturday after medics were called to the scene.

Megan Walton, the mother of two of his children, shared touching photographs of the Rangers fans and his daughters on social media.

The 19-year-old said: “My life has been shattered.

“Heartbroken is not even close to this feeling of losing your fiance – and having your kids left without their father is the worst part.

“Only seen you the other day and if I knew this was going to happen, you should have stayed, my baby.

“I love you so much. You were a great dad and have given me perfect, beautiful girls – the best thing you left me on this earth.

“Can’t do this on my own but I don’t have a choice. Always know no one will ever take your place in my family. It’s always been you, always will be you.”

Megan added: “This was the best thing you ever did with your life, being a father.

“Just can’t believe you’ll never see your babies grow up but I promise I will always keep them safe and be a brilliant mother to them for you.

“Just want to hear your voice one last time, give you a cuddle once more.

“Your girls Lillie Angela Marion Walton and Sophiah Heather Mary O’Farrell will always love their daddy.”

Daniel, who was originally from Perth but lived in Kirkcaldy, also has a one-year-old daughter, Laycie.

The doting dad proudly announced Sophiah’s birth on social media just days ago.

He posted: “She was seven weeks early but still a cracking bairn. This is man’s dream. I’m the happiest dad alive, couldn’t ask for better girls.

“Also need to thank Megan for everything she has done and everything she has been through.

“Been a crazy few months but without her I would never have had this beautiful girl.”

Greig Love, 20, who was detained by police immediately after Daniel’s body was found at the property in Greenlaw Crescent, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court yesterday charged with the murder.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
