No ban for Broonie
SCOTT BROWN dodged an Old Firm ban after SFA beaks ruled he can’t be charged for his Friday night flashpoint against Hamilton.
The Celtic skipper faced calls for retrospective punishment after he was caught on camera appearing to flick a boot at the face of Accies defender Giannis Skondras during their 4-1 win. But SFA compliance officer Tony McGlennan yesterday ruled there wasn’t enough evidence to prove there was violent intent.
The news pleased Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers who said: “I don’t think it was a big problem for the players and it was unintentional.”
