MANY people become single again later in life, when looking for love can feel like a daunting task.

But Glasgow-born expert Cynthia Spillman, who has written a guide to mature dating called From Dinner Date to Soulmate, believes it’s never too late to find love.

The 58-year-old is happily married to her third husband, 62-year-old Peter.

Cynthia married for the first time at 19 and had two children – but lost her son in a car accident in 1987 when he was five.

She then studied law at Cambridge University but split from her first husband in 1991 before she graduated.

She met her second husband in 1997. They got married three months later but broke up in less than two years.

Cynthia met Peter in 2002 through a mutual friend and they tied the knot five years later.

They ran a legal business together before starting Dinner Dates, the UK’s leading social networking organisation for professional single people.

Cynthia, who trained as a dating coach in the US and set up the International Dating Academy, is particularly interested in helping older women.

She said: “Life is full of opportunities and it’s never too late to find love. If you feel good about yourself, you will attract the right person.” ● From Dinner Date to Soulmate – Cynthia Spillman’s Guide to Mature Dating, is published by Bennion Kearny, £12.99 (£8.99 for Kindle).
