Broadband too slow? Walk away

BROADBAND users could soon find it easier to walk away from a contract without penalty if the speed isn’t up to scratch.

Regulators Ofcom said there can be a mismatch between what customers believe they are buying and what they actually receive.

Ofcom director Lindsey Fussell said: We plan to close the gap. We’re also making it easier to walk away without penalty when companies fail to provide the speeds they promise.”
