SCOTLAND

Ryan Fulton 7 Theat the Hamiltonstart but keeperhad no looked chance nervyat Onomah’sfrom Abraham wonder and goal.Joe Gomez.Good stops Liam Smith 6 Given a tough time by Everton winger Calvert-Lewin. Stuck to his task admirably, though, without getting forward much himself. John Souttar 7 The one man in Scotland’s side with the same composure as the England players. Defended well against Solanke and unlucky to concede soft penalty. Scott McKenna 7 Didn’t do much wrong against a star-studded England front-line. Won headers and tackles as well as clearing his lines. Solid display. Greg Taylor 6 Had a job on his hands trying to curtail Leicester flying machine Gray who was full of pace and tricks. Lacked options ahead when in possession. Hard night. Allan Campbell 6 Deployed in sitting midfield role for his combative skills after good displays for Motherwell. But biggest test of his career against Cook and Onomah in there. Stevie Mallan 6 Showed flashes of his quality but couldn’t get on the ball enough. Physically demanding for him in engine room but he’ll learn from it. Chris Cadden 7 Motherwell midfielder tried to make an impact, especially when he was moved infield. Kept his cool to finish from close range and make it 2-1 from McBurnie pass. Dom Thomas 6 Killie kid got into a few dangerous positions but lacked calmness on the ball. Eventually replaced by Williamson. Lewis Morgan 6 Pushed further forward after the break and posed a threat on the break. Decision-making let him down. Oliver Burke 5 Thrown in after return from injury but didn’t look fully fit. Lacked service but made some poor runs and couldn’t hold ball up. Subbed. SUBS Oliver McBurnie 6 More of a threat up front than Burke and terrific composure to tee up Cadden for Scots’ goal. Ryan Williamson 4 Dunfermline kid was given his debut in place of Thomas and gave Smith more protection. Greg Docherty 3 Came on for Mallan late on in the game but it was beyond Scotland by that stage. Subs not used: Ruddy, Kerr, Miller, McCrorie.
