Peer nonsense
LAZY Lords taking home more than the average wage for doing nothing is a national outrage.
Unelected peers doing absolutely no work but still claiming a £300-a-day tax-free allowance while ordinary people across the country struggle to make ends meet is enough to make your blood boil.
Many peers work hard, have valuable expertise and perform an important role scrutinising legislation – especially with Brexit on the horizon.
The good eggs are being let down by the greedy, pompous and insufferable parasites in their ranks.
And however valuable some contributions are, the fact the UK still has an unelected chamber remains a democratic disgrace.
