Time to listen

PEOPLE power has won an early victory in the fight for justice for Shaun Woodburn.

The four-year sentence handed down to the killer of the 30-year-old is one of the most insulting in Scottish criminal history.

The very least the Crown Office can do is meet Shaun’s family and listen to their concerns. And that is what they have now agreed to do.

The justice system is often accused of being out of touch with day-to-day life.

In this case, it appears that public outrage is bringing a healthy dose of reality into the dusty corridors of the law.
