SWORN IN Mellie and Olivia

SCANDAL SKY LIVING, 10pm OLIVIA Pope (Kerry Washington) is back for the seventh and final series of this fast moving political drama.

“Tragic news – Luna Vargas has died of a heart attack.” Remember that?

Revealed as the villain, Olivia forced Luna to take an overdose and kill herself. So now Mellie (Bellamy Young) is President, Cyrus Beene ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS W, 11pm HARD to believe this iconic sitcom is 25 years old, but it’s still just as funny. In this third series opener, Eddy (Jennifer Saunders) has been given a trendy electronic organiser (no smartphone­s in 1995), and uses it to plan her day in excruciati­ng detail. But she still forgets Saffy’s birthday.

Then accompanie­d by Patsy (Joanna Lumley), she heads to New York City on a mission to find the perfect kitchen door handle. (Jeff Perry) is VP, but of course it’s Olivia who is once again stalking the corridors of the White House, running the show in her white stilettos.

Meanwhile, Olivia Pope and Associates is now Quinn Perkins and Associates, with Quinn, Charlie, Huck and Abby back to sticking clues on their office windows.

And there are more monologues to be enjoyed from Joe Morton as evil Papa Pope. THE REBEL GOLD, 10pm REBEL without a cause Henry (Simon Callow) is supposed to give the eulogy at a friend’s funeral – which means being on time (yes, we can see where this is going). He’s offered a lift, but decides to make the journey alone on his Lambretta scooter.

But when his beloved machine ends up in a hedge, he’s forced – horror of all horrors – to take public transport. It’s anyone’s guess if he’ll make it at all.
