MAN FEUD OVER BRAWL
MANCHESTER UNITED and City are at war over who started the tunnel bust-up.
The FA have launched an inquiry into the 20-man brawl that City claim was sparked by Jose Mourinho demanding they tone down their wild celebrations after their 2-1 win at Old Trafford.
A milk carton was thrown at the United boss in the melee, which broke out in the doorway of the away dressing room after he allegedly told rival players to turn down their loud music.
City coach Mikel Arteta suffered a cut eyebrow in the ensuing fracas, with witnesses claiming Romelu Lukaku was at the centre of the ugly episode but United deny he threw anything as tempers boiled over.
Both clubs have until 5pm tomorrow to provide the FA with written observations after it was confirmed ref Michael Oliver did not witness the incident or include it in his report.
Both clubs played the blame game yesterday, City pointing the finger at Mourinho for sparking the incident while United claimed the over-the-top celebrations caused it.
One independent witness near the dressing room area said they had never heard music played so loud.
It is understood there has been no dialogue between the clubs since the incident that could see both hit with FA disciplinary charges.
It is the second time in a fortnight City have irked rivals with their post-match partying with Southampton unhappy at the noise level after last month’s defeat.
