MOVIE legend Sylvester Stallone is being investigated by police over a sex attack claim dating back 30 years.

Santa Monica police department are probing an incident that is alleged to have taken place at the star’s office in the Californian city in the 90s.

An alleged victim came forward last month to make a claim about the 71-year-old Rocky actor.

Lieutenant Saul Rodriguez, of Santa Monica’s force, said: “We received an allegation of sexual misconduct involving Mr Stallone.

“The [alleged] victim came forward to report the incident in November 2017. The alleged incident occurred in the early 1990s in Santa Monica.”

A police spokesman said a “thorough investigation” would be made before the case is presented to the state’s district attorney.

Celebrity news website TMZ reported that Stallone’s lawyer, Marty Singer, had denied an allegation of rape against his client made by a woman who said it took place in the actor’s office. Stallone previously issued a denial over reports that a 16-year-old fan had accused him of sexually assaulting her in Las Vegas in the 80s.

The girl said she was left feeling “humiliated and ashamed” by the incident and did not want to prosecute so the force dropped the case, according to the report.

Stallone’s spokeswoman Michelle Bega had described the Vegas allegation as a “ridiculous, categorically false story”.

The new allegation comes as Hollywood continues to reel over sexual harassment claims against a string of key figures in the industry, including producer Harvey Weinstein and actor Kevin Spacey.
