STEPHEN ROBINSON insists Motherwell will continue to look south for signing targets after being priced out of the Scottish market. The Fir Park boss has already identified a replacemen­t for Preston-bound striker Louis Moult as well as several other new faces to bolster his squad. It’s a January shopping list the Northern Irishman insists will be done on the usual shoestring but north of the border is just too rich for his blood. He said: “I’d love to get Scots in and I’m at games every night trying to find them. Unfortunat­ely, we’ve been priced out of the market. “There are two or three I’d love to take in but we can’t compete wage wise. “The problem we have is that when a good young Scottish talent does come along we’re competing with Hearts, Hibs, Rangers and Celtic.

“We make no bones about it, our market is Conference and League Two down south. The most we’ve spent on a player is £10,000 on Trevor Carson.

“It is a limited market but we’re well versed in it and we’re doing our due diligence. I’ll definitely bring in one striker to replace Louis but what happens between now and January with the boys here will determine things.

“Finances will dictate whether I can bring another striker in too and we’re actively speaking to four or five people.

“However, things turn around quickly in football and we know we can’t compete financiall­y with some clubs so we are trying to do our business early.

“We do definitely need one to replace Louis but I have high hopes for George Newell. He’s
