Green for go

ANOTHER one of the Tory Cabinet bites the dust after Damian Green was forced to fall on his sword.

Being a Remain supporter and Labour voter, I’m starting to think that maybe we should be glad that Theresa May is still Prime Minister.

Otherwise the likes of Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and Jacob Rees-Mogg would be taking us down the Brexit road of “No Deal” –and that could be disastrous. Jim, Fife SO DAMIAN Green has been sacked. What about Brexit Secretary David Davis? Remember he was the guy that said if Green went, then he would resign.

I very much doubt that Davis will go – he still thinks he can become leader of the Tories.

Age-old problem

READER Mary Ross says Strictly winner Joe McFadden had never danced before. As I understand it, all four finalists had some professional dance experience.

The reason Debbie McGee did not win is because there is ageism in our society. Her Argentine tango was the best part of Strictly.

However I did enjoy Joe and partner Katya dancing so no hard feelings about them winning.

Tree trouble

I WAS sad to read that mindless vandals damaged Fraserburgh’s Christmas tree.

If the culprits are caught, they should be locked up over the festive period, given a further period of detention and then community service.

That might make them realise that they spoiled Christmas for the people of the town.
