Police chase runaway ram through gardens
COPS almost had the wool pulled over their eyes by a runaway ram after taking part in a chase resembling something out of hit police film Hot Fuzz.
Police in Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway, were called out after reports of a sheep on the loose in a park.
The cheeky animal had officers running about the town and jumping in people’s gardens before it was caught – with help from local residents.
A statement on the police Facebook page said: “Some of you may have seen us hopping gardens and running around Kirkcudbright on Saturday.
“A few of you even joined in the chase and it was like a scene from Hot Fuzz.
“Not to worry, we were helping to catch an escaped ram and he was eventually caught and returned to his owners.”
