Join Pursuit of new ports
AZAMARA Cruises have always been one of the top choices for passengers who enjoy a slower pace of life. The luxury cruise line are dedicated to providing their guests with fascinating itineraries on board boutique ships that can sneak into intimate ports.
From August, laid-back cruisers will be offered more opportunities to embark on a journey with Azamara thanks to the launch of their new ship, Azamara Pursuit.
While many cruise lines announce a new ship every year, this is only Azamara’s third ship, allowing the designers to get all the details just right.
The Azamara Pursuit has all the luxury amenities you have come to expect from the company.
There’s the Sanctum Spa, which includes a thalassotherapy pool, a nail bar, barber services and teeth whitening and acupuncture clinics.
At dinner time, there’s Discoveries Restaurant, which is open dining and provides a modern twist on classic dishes such as Gulf shrimp with cognac and garlic or a filet mignon with black truffle sauce.
The nearby Discoveries Bar is perfect for a drink before or after dinner – then stop by the Cabaret Lounge for a night of entertainment. Stage shows are a rotation of musical revues, classical soloists and bands, so it’s not the same show every night.
If you’re more of a sports fan, head to the Spirits Bar, where you’ll find a flat-screen TV and full bar.
The allure of Azamara is not just their ships but also their carefully crafted itineraries.
The Azamara Pursuit will open the doors to 50 new itineraries and 73 new destinations.
This includes nearby European ports such as Trieste in Italy, Pula in Croatia and Spetses in Greece, as well as exotic far-flung ports such as Lima in Peru and Antofagasta in Chile.
Even Antarctica is on the list, with a sailing setting off on January 6 next year that will take passengers from Buenos Aires right through to Elephant Island and the Antarctic Sound, with stop-offs in the Falkland Islands and Chile.
