AN OFFER of a £100,000 reward has resulted in a number of new leads about a missing mum.

Lisa Brown was 32 when she disappeared in Spain in November 2015.

Just over a week ago, her family put up the reward as they made a fresh plea for information.

A Crimestoppers spokesman said: “We have had a number of contacts and they have been passed to the National Crime Agency to be dealt with by the investigation team in Spain.”

Lisa’s brother Craig, 48, who travelled to Cadiz for the appeal, said: “We have to continue to be hopeful.”

Lisa, originally from Alexandria, Dunbartonshire, is feared to have been murdered. Her boyfriend Simon Corner, 35, is on the run. CORONATION Street legend Bill Roache is facing a huge bill after investing in a £500million Cayman Islands tax avoidance scheme.

The star, who plays Ken Barlow, is among 288 wealthy investors who joined the scheme.

They put an average of £1.75million each into Twofold First Services LLP, owned by a company in the Cayman Islands.

It is not known exactly how much Roache, 85, invested.

But according to documents, he joined the scheme, which takes advantage of farming tax relief, in March 2012.

In a landmark tribunal in favour of HMRC, the taxman successfully argued Twofold was “a tax avoidance arrangement’.

The scheme meant Roache could slash his tax bills. But it was branded “abusive” by the Treasury.

The actor, whose daughter Vanya, 50, died of liver failure last month, is reported to earn £200,000 a year.

Olympic cycling champion Sir Bradley Wiggins was also an investor in Twofold. He joined the scheme in March 2012 before resigning in May 2013.

At the time he said: “I had a small investment in Twofold, following guidance from my professional advisers.

“I had, however, claimed no tax relief of any amount in regard to this investment.

“Given the concerns raised about it, I have instructed my advisers to withdraw me from the scheme.”

The win for HMRC paves the way for the taxman to demand millions of pounds in tax.

Roache’s agent declined to comment on the Twofold scheme.

A HMRC spokesman said: “Our role is to collect the tax due under the law.”
