Woman confronts disgraced actor

-

BILL Cosby was accosted by a topless protester who had the words “Women’s Lives Matter” painted on her body as he walked into court for his sex assault retrial.

Actress Nicolle Rochelle, 39, who appeared on several episodes of The Cosby Show in the early 1990s, charged toward the disgraced comedian before she was grabbed by police outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pennsylvania, yesterday.

Rochelle, who also had the words “Cosby rapist” written on her body, as well as the names of a number of Cosby’s alleged victims, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Cosby appeared disturbed by the commotion although he didn’t come in contact with the actress.

The 80-year-old is being retried for allegedly drugging and molesting former Temple University basketball administrator Andrea Constand at his home in 2004.

His first trial ended last year with a BY CHRISTOPHER BUCKTIN reporters@dailyrecord.co.uk hung jury and the star of the hit US sitcom The Cosby Show has assembled a new defence team of seven lawyers, four of whom are women.

The move came after Judge Steven O’Neill ruled five women who have accused Cosby of rape could testify at his trial in addition to Constand.

The millionaire’s attorneys are being headed by Tom Mesereau, who has defended a string of A-list celebrities including Michael Jackson.

Cosby has pleaded not guilty to charges he drugged and molested Constand at his Philadelphia home in 2004. The actor faces up to 10 years in prison and a £17,600 fine if he is convicted.

Cosby is accused of plying the former coach with pills and wine and then assaulting her.

The star has previously admitted to giving a pill to Constand but insists their relations were consensual.
