A 27-year-old female cyclist was attacked as she pedalled on an Edinburgh cycle path.

The incident – on a route that runs across the city’s Roseburn Terrace – happened between 5.35am and 6am on Monday, September 10 and left the woman extremely distressed.

Detective Sergeant David Brady said: “We have received calls from local residents and others who utilise the cycle path. The informatio­n is being progressed by the dedicated inquiry team.

“The public are also asked to come forward if they recognise the man pictured in the e-fit. We believe he may be able to assist with our inquiries.”
