Netflix blackout for Brits
BRITS could be blocked from using the likes of Netflix and Spotify in the EU if there is a no-deal Brexit.
Online games and e-books could also be unavailable, say Government papers released yesterday.
Under EU-wide “portability regulation” in place since April, citizens can access entertainment accounts based in one country while visiting other member states.
But a paper on copyright warns this would disappear for Brits if there’s no deal.
“This means online content service providers will not be required or able to offer cross-border access to UK consumers under the EU Regulation,” it said.
