The 88-yr-old marathon man

John Starbrook AGED 53, when most people start taking it easy, former delivery driver John Starbrook took up running.

He competed in his first London Marathon in 1983 and this year was the oldest entrant, raising thousands of pounds for Age UK.

John, 88, of Windsor, Berks, who has been married to Judy for 57 years, said: “I jog four miles every day and reading keeps my mind occupied.

“I have such a busy schedule that I don’t have time to let my brain go silly. Will I still be jogging at 100? I might be a bit slow, but never say never.”
