5000 migrants in march towards US
ALMOST 5000 migrants have resumed their march towards the US border despite Mexican efforts to stop them.
The Central Americans set off yesterday morning, heading for the town of Tapachula, in a line stretching nearly a mile.
Some 2000 had gathered on Saturday but the number swelled overnight, as migrants waiting on a bridge over the Suchiate River

The caravan elicited a series of angry tweets and warnings from US President Donald Trump last week.
He hailed Mexican officials’ efforts to halt the charge, adding: “As of this moment, I thank Mexico. If that doesn’t work out, we’re calling up the military – not the Guard.”
