BROOKS BAGS WORLD NO.1

-

THREE-TIME Major winner Brooks Koepka last night became world No.1 for the first time.

The American’s fourshot win over compatriot Gary Woodland in the CJ Cup in South Korea saw him knock Ryder Cup team-mate Dustin Johnson off top.

Koepka, who carded a 64 for a 21-under 267, said: “To be world No.1 is something I dreamed of as a kid and I don’t think this one’s going to sink in yet. Everything I’ve done this year, it has been working.

“I don’t want to change anything, just keep improving. I’m so excited right now, you have no idea. I can’t wait to play again.”
