Driver hurt after bus hits garden
BY MARK McGIVERN A MAJOR emergency operation was launched after a five-vehicle smash that saw a bus crash into the garden of a home.
Locals in Anstruther, Fife, reported that a driver appeared to suffer a medical issue before the smash. A Transit van also ended up careering into another garden.
The driver of the bus was taken to hospital. His condition was not known last night.
One witness posted on Facebook: “Bad crash on the Pittenweem Road. It could have been so much more catastrophic than a demolished wall.”
A police spokesman said the road was closed in both directions. He added: “It would appear at this stage that no one was seriously injured.”
