Tour guide’s conviction is overturned

A TOUR guide who stabbed his Scots colleague to death in Lapland has had his murder conviction overturned.

Ex-soldier Karel Frybl was jailed for life in February for stabbing Rebecca Johnson more than 30 times in the head, back, chest and abdomen after an argument in December 2016.

Rebecca, 26, from Burntislan­d in Fife, and Frybl, 36, worked as guides at a husky ranch.

Frybl’s murder conviction was overturned at an appeal hearing.

Judges said that he will now serve 11 years for homicide.
