MORTON v ALLOA

JJ’S WARY OF WASPS STING

-

JONATAN JOHANSSON has warned his Ton players not to underestimate their lowly rivals today.

Alloa may be second bottom with just one win in the Championship so far this season but the Greenock gaffer holds Jim Goodwin and his squad in high regard.

Johansson’s men can make it three wins in a row today but he fears there will be a sting in the tail if Morton take the Wasps lightly.

He said: “Jim’s Alloa side are one of the most organised teams in the league and they’re hard to break down. It’s going to be extremely tough against dangerous rivals.

“It’s such a competitive league, which is great for the fans. We are still a work in progress and I am very aware of the threat from Alloa.”

Goodwin believes his men just need the rub of the green to bounce back from last weekend’s narrow defeat by Dunfermline.

He said: “We were more than a match for Dunfermline. There are a lot of positives and we are due a bit of luck to see us put a run together.

“We are not a million miles away and hopefully that can start away to Morton but I know Johansson is doing a great job there.”
