Sabitzer: We were robbed
BITTER Bundesliga star Marcel Sabitzer reckons his RB Leipzig team were robbed by Celtic after their Europa League loss.
The Hoops kept their hopes of qualifying from the group stages alive after a battling 2-1 win at Parkhead.
But defeat was entirely avoidable according to 24-year-old Austrian international Sabitzer.
He said: “The loss was unnecessary and unfair.
“We were clearly the better side. We had a lot of quality on the pitch and missed big chances.”
But team-mate Marcel Halstenberg reckons they only had themselves to blame. He said: “We made a lot of self-enforced errors in the game.
“Twice we went to sleep – when they scored the first and especially when they immediately went up the pitch and made it 2-1.
“When you play European football and are at a stadium with an atmosphere like that, you can’t afford to do that.”
