TARTAN TRIBUTE AT VICTORIA’S SECRET SHOW It’s our national fabric.. worn in a way you’ve never seen before

TAKE 60 top models. Drape them in tartan. Add wings, diamonds and lashings of body shimmer.

Set it all to a banging soundtrack and you have the 2018 Victoria’s Secret fashion show. In September, the international lingerie chain opened their first Scottish store in Glasgow. Excited customers queued round the block to buy sparkly bras, tiny pants and branded fragrances.

Now, they’ve returned the favour by sending a parade of Victoria’s Secret angels down the catwalk in tartan basques, bras and bondage pants. Some of them even had sporrans, worn on the midriff rather than dangling above the knees.

A couple of models were trailing what looked like picnic blankets behind them as they strutted down the runway.

They wore lace-up shoes very different from ones seen at gala days and country dancing displays. Their mini kilts fell open at the front to reveal titchy tartan knickers…

Well plaid.
