After my break-up Bear is the only man I need

Singer has ‘zero’ desire for new relationship

-

BY NICOLA METHVEN CHERYL Tweedy has insisted there is only man she needs in her life right now – her son Bear.

The singer, 35, said she has “zero” desire to start a new relationship after her split from the 19-month-old’s dad, Liam Payne.

She added Bear makes her feel truly happy for the first time in her life.

Cheryl said: “My heart’s full, I’m fulfilled. I’m not looking for anything any more. I’m whole. I’ve got the man of my dreams.”

She also admitted her obsessive relationship with Bear could “maybe” have been a reason for the breakdown in her relationship with Liam, who she credits as the only man to have been faithful to her. Asked if the 25-year-old One Direction star felt left out, she said: “When I think back to new motherhood, I was in such a bubble of love, I don’t think I saw anyone else.” The former Girls Aloud star, who had failed marriages to footballer Ashley Cole and restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, stressed romance wasn’t a priority for her now.

She added: “I would never say never. But I have zero desire to start up a new relationship.”

Giving an interview to promote her first single in four years, Love Made Me Do It, Cheryl hinted that Liam broke up with her rather than the other way around.

She said: “You can’t rely on someone to make you happy. I might want somebody else to be in my life but if they don’t want to be in your life, what are you supposed to do?”

Bear now sleeps in her bed every night, which she calls “the best thing in the world”.

She told a Sunday paper: “I would spend every breathing moment with him and not do anything else. But I know that’s unhealthy.”
