Body­guard Mad­den’s up for a Globe

BODY­GUARD star Richard Mad­den says he is “to­tally blown away” by his Golden Globe nom­i­na­tion.

The Scots ac­tor is up for the Best Per­for­mance by an Ac­tor in a Tele­vi­sion Se­ries – Drama award.

Post­ing a screen shot of the full list of nom­i­nees, Richard, 32, wrote: “To­tally blown away by this. Thank you very much.”

Body­guard had the BBC’s high­est view­ing fig­ures since 2008.

Richard, from Elder­slie in Ren­frew­shire, starred as Sergeant David Budd, a war vet­eran and body­guard for the Home Sec­re­tary.

He’ll find out if he’s won at the 76th Golden Globes cer­e­mony on Jan­uary 6.

Richard also starred in Game of Thrones and plays El­ton John’s man­ager John Reid in Rock­et­man.
