Bodyguard Madden’s up for a Globe
BODYGUARD star Richard Madden says he is “totally blown away” by his Golden Globe nomination.
The Scots actor is up for the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama award.
Posting a screen shot of the full list of nominees, Richard, 32, wrote: “Totally blown away by this. Thank you very much.”
Bodyguard had the BBC’s highest viewing figures since 2008.
Richard, from Elderslie in Renfrewshire, starred as Sergeant David Budd, a war veteran and bodyguard for the Home Secretary.
He’ll find out if he’s won at the 76th Golden Globes ceremony on January 6.
Richard also starred in Game of Thrones and plays Elton John’s manager John Reid in Rocketman.
