BREXIT buffoon David Coburn has decided Ukip is now too toxic even for him.

The Scottish MEP resigned from the party yesterday over its endorsement of hateful far-right activist Tommy Robinson.

That even Coburn is fleeing this cess pit in disgust is final proof of how Ukip’s antiIslam agenda has driven it to the very wildest fringes of politics.

After all, this is the man who once disgracefully compared Scottish Government Minister Humza Yousaf to convicted terrorist Abu Hamza.

That he now thinks Ukip have been hijacked by “extremists” is telling.

The anti-EU party was always laced with racism but that poison has become much more pronounced since the Brexit referendum.

One of the very few positives from Brexit has been the collapse of Ukip as an electoral force.

Another is that Coburn will soon no longer be an elected representative.
