Sailor Susie saved by rescue ship
A BRITISH woman sailing solo in a round-the-world race was rescued yesterday after a Southern Ocean storm destroyed her mast and knocked her out.
Susie Goodall tweeted to say she was “on the ship” after Chilean authorities directed cargo vessel MV Tian Fu to help her.
The 29-year-old lost her mast 2000 miles west of Cape Horn near the southern tip of South America on Wednesday.
