Dan: Rivals have shocktroops Livi sussed now

- BY GRAEME MACPHERSON

DANNY ROGERS reckons St Mirren are getting Livingston at the perfect time – as teams are starting to suss them out.

Gary Holt’s side made a storming start after coming up from the Championship but have tailed off, winning one of their last six games.

And Buddies keeper Rogers believes Saints can claim a huge victory today in their bid to climb the table.

He said: “We’re getting Livingston at a good time.

“They hit the ground running but have come to a bit of a halt now. Teams are sussing them out a bit.

“They came in as the new boys with a completely different style. But people are clocking on to them now.”

Rogers is glad he doesn’t have to face long-range strikes from Adam Hammill.

But he insists Livingston’s Liam Kelly shouldn’t come under fire if the Buddies ace nets another stunner today.

Hammill followed up his 40-yard strike in the win over Hearts by netting from inside his own half against Hibs in the 2-2 midweek draw.

And Rogers said: “Some people were blaming the goalies but you can’t stand on your line in those situations.

“I wouldn’t think anything of it. I’d just think I’d been beaten by an amazing strike.”
