WE’LL GET GAZ COOKING AGAIN

-

GARY McALLISTER insists there is enough character in the Rangers squad to bounce back from the setback of surrendering the Premiership top spot.

The Light Blues travel to bottom side Dundee tomorrow looking to get back on track following the 1-0 midweek defeat to Aberdeen at Ibrox.

Rangers had climbed to the summit for the first time in seven years with a win at Hearts in the previous game but lasted just three days there.

And when it was put to McAllister their bottle might be questioned after that he said: “My reply to that would be knowing the group of players we have worked with since June, some of the monumental games we’ve played in up until now, and being backs to the wall in some of them across European ties as well, we think we have good men.

“This is a disappointing moment but we’ve got enough about us in that changing room to put it right on Sunday.”

Steven Gerrard has Borna Barisic and Ryan Kent back from injury with Scott Arfield and Alfredo Morelos both suspended for the Tayside trip.

And despite the Dons setback, McAllister insists Gerrard didn’t lose the rag. He said: “He’s an emotional guy but times are changing.

“Those days actually don’t exist a great deal now, tea-cups and volleys and that stuff.”
