MIKAEEL’S KILLER MUM ALLOWED OUT OF JAIL

Mikaeel’s mother gets to work in shop during day

- BY RECORD REPORTER

MIKAEEL Kular’s killer mum has been allowed out of prison to do work experience – only four years after being jailed.

Rosdeep Adekoya is believed to have been working in a shop under a scheme at Cornton Vale.

The exact terms of her interim release are not known but the 38-year-old has been seen in the Stirling area before returning to prison.

She is just under five years into the 11-year sentence she received for killing Mikaeel.

Adekoya beat the threeyear-old to death over four days in January 2014 after he was sick following a meal. He had 40 injuries on his body.

Adekoya, who has four other children, hid his remains in a suitcase behind her sister’s house in Kirkcaldy.

Hundreds of police and locals searched for Mikaeel after she claimed he had vanished from home in Edinburgh. Adekoya was convicted of culpable homicide after claiming she didn’t mean to kill her son.

A source said: “Relatives of this wee boy will be outraged to know she has this kind of freedom.”

The Scottish Prison Service would not comment.
