Pedestrian killed by car

A PEDESTRIAN has died after being hit by a car in an early morning crash.

The 56-year-old man was struck by a red Renault Captur in Tullibody, Alloa, at around 6am yesterday.

Emergency services raced to the collision on the B9140 road west of Muirside roundabout and put the road on lockdown to investigate.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police appealed for witnesses to come forward.
