SPICE GIRLS
MURRAYFIELD, EDINBURGH, JUNE 8
GINGER Spice proudly wore a Union Jack dress at the 1997 Brits and – more than Oasis, Blur or Pulp – took the idea of Cool Britannia around the globe.
Their debut single, Wannabe, was a No1 here and also in the US and Girl Power became as much a catchphrase as Liam Gallagher’s “Mad for it”.
Now four of the five girls – Posh Spice has said no – are touring the world again, including a date at Murrayfield in Edinburgh.
