GROUNDHOG DAY arrived as the Hotline once again had a referee front and centre after Rangers drew with 10-man Dundee.

Kyle Lafferty’s first-half finish was wrongly ruled out for offside and Ibrox fans pointed a finger a whistler Alan Muir.

Jim Walker, Stepps, said: “Rangers had a good goal chalked off and should have had a penalty for handball but no doubt I’ll be accused of sour grapes. We should be beating 10 men but again the officials didn’t do their job properly and that’s what cost us.”

Steve Innes, Kilmarnock, said: “Lafferty’s ‘goal’ should have stood but I blame the linesman as he was looking right along the line and still got it wrong. Muir is the worst referee we have and that’s quite a feat. The sooner we bring in VAR, the better.”

Willie Carruthers, Easterhous­e, said: “Rangers were rotten against a poor Dundee who just sat back when they went a goal down but again it’s a referee howler which robbed us of three points. Is it any wonder some believe officials are against us?”

John Davidson, Armadale, said: “It’s time to say goodbye to Alfredo Morelos as he’s a liability for Rangers and they should cash in before it’s too late. He’ll cost more points than Allan McGregor can save.”
