It’s a rail mess
WHY do ScotRail think it is acceptable to use carriages from the 70s?
The firm have been unable to ensure an entire fleet of InterCity coaches has been refurbished on time. So they’re having to use some in their original state.
It means passengers having to accept a journey without information screens, toilets which flush on to the tracks and doors which don’t open from the inside.
And ScotRail, who have branded them “classic” in a bizarre marketing ploy, had the brass neck to post a guide to opening the doors on social media.
Customers will have to stick their heads out of the window to open the door. Good luck with that in the snow and driving rain.
They have also said some customers “could struggle” with the doors.
That might have been OK 40 years ago, ScotRail, but times have changed.
Passengers will no doubt wonder if they’ll be charged 70s prices.
