Clint ‘would drop dead if he retired’

-

BY KEIRAN SOUTHERN HOLLYWOOD veteran Clint Eastwood’s daughter has said her dad will “probably drop dead” if he ever stops working.

Alison Eastwood appears alongside her 88-year-old father in The Mule, in which he plays a drugs courier for a cartel.

He also directs and produces the film.

Alison, who plays fourtime Oscar winner Clint’s daughter in the film, said working keeps him “lively and young”.

Speaking at the premiere in Los Angeles, she said: “I’m thrilled he’s still working, I’m glad he keeps learning and expanding and keeps wanting to tell stories and do this.

“I think if he retired he would probably drop dead.”

The Mule will be released in UK cinemas next month. AN ALBINO woman has told how she risks being “hunted like an animal” by witch doctors if she is forced to return to Malawi from Scotland.

Tumeliwa Mphepo, 22, says people with albinism are killed for their bones and body parts, which are then sold for witchcraft rituals.

Perpetrators are rarely punished, and people like her who lack pigment in the skin, hair and eyes suffer widespread discrimination.

Tumeliwa has completed a fellowship at Dundee University, as part of the Scottish Human Rights Defender Fellowship initiative.

Speaking out can be dangerous but she waived her anonymity despite the danger of reprisals.

Tumeliwa said: “People like me are being hunted like animals in Malawi and other parts of Africa.

“There has been a big increase in the number of atrocities against people with albinism, with 159 cases in Malawi in just a few years.

“This has been a problem in the background for years.

“This is not the fault of the government and there are people
