THE VICTIM (BBC SCOTLAND)
Kelly Macdonald takes on lead duties in a show which is hoped will follow in the footsteps of 2018 smash hit The Cry. It’s a legal thriller about a grieving mother whose young son is murdered by a teenager. When the killer is eventually released, Macdonald’s character aims to uncover their new identity.
GAME OF THRONES (SKY ATLANTIC)
The iron throne is up for grabs as the swords and dragons epic comes to a conclusion. Jon Snow and Daenarys have to team up to fight the white walker hordes heading south through the wall, while the scheming Lannisters will defend the crown at all costs.
GOOD OMENS
David Tennant stars as a charismatic demon opposite Michael Sheen’s angel in this end-of-the-world drama from Amazon, based on the Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett book. The cast includes Jon Hamm, Miranda Richardson, Jack Whitehall, Mark Gatiss, Nick Offerman and Frances McDormand.
BEECHAM HOUSE (ITV)
Gurinder Chadha directs an all-star cast in the new lavish period drama. Set in 18th century Delhi in the days before the British empire had taken over, it focuses on a former British soldier who retires with his family to an estate to pioneer fair trading with the community but struggles to escape his past.
GENTLEMEN JACK (BBC)
Happy Valley’s Sally Wainwright brings to life the incredible story of one of the world’s first proudly out lesbians, Victorian landowner and diarist Anne Lister.
Suranne Jones looks amazing as the trailblazer who defied society to marry another woman, protect her family estate and break down barriers all over the place.
