THE Hear’Say singer was among the first reality stars in the UK.
She triumphed in blockbuster ITV series Popstars in 2001 and enjoyed chart success with the four other talent show winners in the band created.
Hear’Say split a year later but Myleene has been one of the busiest personalities on British TV.
As well as classical music and modelling work, her TV presenting roles have included CD:UK, The Heaven and Earth Show, Derek Acorah’s Ghost Towns, The One Show and 10 Years Younger.
She also once hosted the shortlived US version of I’m A Celebrity. WHILE the likes of One Direction, Susan Boyle and Little Mix have had great success from reality talent shows, many end up on the scrapheap. Now, more hopefuls are finding fame via a different route – like Fleur East, who has landed a slot on this Morning. WHILE most wannabe pop stars turn to presenting when their music career falters, affable geezer Olly moved into telly at the peak of his chart powers. He finished as runner-up to Joe McElderry on The X Factor in 2009. By 2012, he was hosting The Xtra Factor, then hosted the main show. But that ended in embarrassment as he prematurely read out the name of the contestant to leave the show. SHE’S best known as one of The Saturdays but Rochelle (nee Wiseman) started out as a teeny popster in S Club Juniors, part of the reality TV show world of S Club 7. She then moved into TV, often working with husband Marvin – formerly with JLS, who appeared on The X Factor in 2008 – but has become a major star as part of the presenting team for weekend sports smash hit Ninja Warrior. She has also been a stand-in host on This Morning.
