Waitrose are fantastic on black plastic

Daily Record - - NEWS -

WAITROSE have announced that they removed 1300 tons of environmentally unfriendly black plastic from their products last year.

The material cannot easily be sorted in the recycling process, meaning much of it goes to landfill.

Waitrose said they had removed it from hundreds of products including their own-brand fresh meat, fish, poultry, fruit and vegetable packaging.

They aim to remove it from all own-brand products by the end of the year.
